General

Where are you located? We are located just west of Rio on Cty B between Cty Hwy C and Hwy 22. The address is W5511 County Road B. Burr Oak Gardens Map

Greenhouse Questions

When will you open? For the 2024 season we are planning on opening April 26.

When do you shut down for the 2024 season? We will be closing Sunday June 16.

What are your hours? We are open Monday-Saturday 9am- 6pm and Sundays 10am-3pm.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept cash, Venmo, local checks and all major credit cards for in person shopping. For online purchases, we accept all major credit cards.

Will you deliver plants to Madison? Yes, we will be delivering any online orders to Madison at either the Wednesday or Saturday Dane County Farmers Market markets. We will also be delivering to the Saturday Sun Prairie Farmers Market. Just indicate in the notes section at check out which date and market you would like to pick up.

What Farmer’s Markets do you attend with your plants? We are planning on attending both the Wednesday and Saturday DCFM markets starting in mid-April with our plants. We also plan on attending the Saturday Sun Prairie market with our plants starting in May.

Are you affiliated with Burr Oaks Greenhouse in Kenosha? No, we are in no way connected to Burr Oaks Greenhouse in Kenosha. As far as we are aware, Burr Oaks Greenhouse does not have a business website, they only have a Facebook page. We also are pretty sure they do not accept online orders. Please contact them directly if you  live in the Kenosha area and wish to order from them. This is a link to their Facebook page.

Produce Questions

Are you organic? Yes, our farm is Certified Organic through M.O.S.A. All of our produce is Certified Organic. Our honey, maple syrup, annual bedding plants, and hanging baskets cannot be Certified Organic, but are managed as though they are certified.

When does your farm stand open? Our farm stand opens the week after 4th of July. Check our Facebook page for specifics.

When does your farm stand close? We generally close our stand in early October once the night time temperatures begin to fall near or below freezing.

What markets do you attend with your produce? We attend the Wednesday DCFM market with produce the week after 4th of July through the first week in November. We attend the DCFM Holiday Market at the Monona Terrace mid-November through December and the Late Winter Market January through early April. We also attend the Saturday Sun Prairie Market with our produce mid-July through October.
